Design and Construction Experience

Chief Cornerstone Affordable Homes (CCAH) is the residential design division of a commercial construction company who's corporate office is located in northeast Florida. CCAH various floor plans and exterior designs were developed by award winning architects and engineers. This design team has been collaborating on various projects for over ten years. Their projects have ranged from large scale institutional projects to civic recreational facilities. Each team member has a wealth of residential construction knowledge as well. It was their depth of design and construction experience that they drew from when faced with the challenge of developing house plans for the average home buyer.

The president of the company and owner of Chief Cornerstone Affordable Homes is a licensed architect, licensed general contractor and city planner. He is certified to practice as an architect in 48 states by the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards located in Washington, D.C. Specifically, he designed or coordinated the design and construction of facilities for Kraft Foods, Quaker Oats, Cargill, Frito-Lay, Ames Department Stores, Publix Grocery Stores, United States Military, National Aeronautics and Space Association (NASA), Public Schools, and more.  He was extensively involved, as a master planner, urban designer and architect, with the development of three large scale multi-million dollar residential communities located in Mayport, Florida, Sterling, Virginia and Fairfield, California. He has master planned various subdivisions and urban designed city districts. He is the principle designer for all of CCAH home plans and developed the exterior aesthetic character and interior designs of all models.

The design teams level of experience is what sets them apart from other home builders. Our plans were not drawn by residential designers or computer technicians. The parent company has a great deal of  construction and cost estimating experience. The companies construction projects range from $350 thousand community development projects to $100 million civic projects. Prior to starting his own company, the owner of CCAH worked as an architect and project manager for a fortune 500 construction company. During his tenure he was directly involved in construction projects ranging from a $15 million courthouse to $175 million National Football League Stadium. With this level of experience he has been able to create an affordable construction system for each CCAH home design.

The amount of ornamentation installed on each home will depend upon the owners construction budget.  All basic plans include tile foyer with chandelier, vaulted ceilings, open plan kitchen, indoor laundry, stucco on front facade only, hardi-panel on three sides, recessed entrance with full height pilastered arched opening, window trim on front facade only, clear story entrance window and entrance door with sidelights as shown on artist renderings and picture.
