QUALITY OF CONSTRUCTION

Chief Cornerstone Affordable Homes mission is to design
and construct homes of empicable design, economical
value and of durable construction. Our goal is for the
client to feel impressed with there own home well into
the future.

Our daily challenge is to continually remind ourselves that
the quality of any building large or small is determined by
the amount of attention that is given to the smallest of
detail. The attention to detail is why our homes appear
more impressive than others of comparable value. We
want to give the average home buyer "more bang for their
buck".

Chief Cornerstone Affordable Home's design team have
years of commercial and residential construction
experience. Our homes are  engineered to the latest
building standards and constructed with the finest
materials. All of our homes have a one year limited
warranty and two year warranty on eqiupment and
appliance parts and labor.

CONVENTIONAL CONSTRUCTION

Exterior Construction Components
CCAH conventionally framed homes are constructed using
5/8 plywood over 2x6 wood studs for all exterior walls,
pilasters, entrance porch and garage framing. The plywood
is covered with stucco or hardi-panel. The stucco system
consists of 3/4 inch elastomeric stucco over a paper
backed metal lath. The hardi-panel is paintable, water
resistant, 1/4 inch thick and has a wood grain
appearance. Batt insulation (3 & 1/2 in. thick) is placed
between the studs and covered with a  clear  plastic
sheathing.

The pre-engineered roof trusses are anchored to the top of the perimeter walls with conventional hurricane clips. Plywood roof sheathing is 5/8 inch thick and is covered with 15 lbs. roofing felt. Asphalt roof shingles have a thirty year warranty.

Interior Construction Components
The interior walls of the conventional framing and hurricane resistant homes are framed with 2x4 wood studs covered with 1/2 inch gypsum wall board (drywall or sheet rock). Sound attenuation blankets shall be installed around all bathrooms. Interior walls are anchored to the floor slab and braced to the trusses.

CCAH conventional framed homes have Low E window glazing anchored in a contiguous vinyl frame. The windows are arched and panelized as shown on the artist renderings for all of the models. Windows are sealed all around the edge on the exterior side and caulked all around on the interior. Pre-hung wood doors with wood casing are used throughout all of the homes.
